I remember at my Grandparent's farm when my Grandmother would cut off

a chicken's head, the body would run around on the grass for about 20 to 30 feet and the head would be laying on the ground with the eyes looking around for a little while. Always kind of creeped me out some as a kid, but that's how you start making chicken dinner on the farm.
