Pretty much, if they had a defeatist attitude


Sounds like they thought they wouldn't win the job, or didn't think it was worth their effort to compete for the starting job, so they left.

I only want guys who want to compete, and not guys who just expect to be given the starting job!

Consider that a bonus for the Hokies!
