They do classroom work, run drills, and at most do 7-on-7 with no tackling and no pass rush. Stats wise, Patterson was at the bottom of the competition, and Clemson's Laurence (sp) was head and shoulders above all...and look what he just did.

Patterson's projections and ratings are based solely on his measurables and intelligence. And that's book intelligence (not the same as spacial and athletic intelligence, which he may have as well). He's clearly not the second coming, but that's just fine. He could still be a three year starter.
