Even without the sloppy play in the 7th inning last night...
JMU would have still won by a 2 - 1 score. JMU's bats came alive and the hit the ball hard for (I think) 4 base hits in a row. Tech's problem was facing Megan Good, who may be the best pitcher in college softball. Tech only got 2 hits for the 7 innings.
Not to second guess the Hokie coaches, but I have always thought coaches should change pitchers at the start of the 3rd round of batters facing a pitcher. Hitters can zero in on a pitcher by the third time they face that pitcher. Rochard facing JMU in the 7th inning might have made a difference.
