Prob need a 40 RPI or under. There is also politics involved with selection committee. ACC is lowest rated power 5 conference so ACC usually gets one at large pick. Notre Dame if I recall made the Tourney last year despite having an RPI higher than other teams left out who were in a mid major conf.
