Can he hold onto the football?

The little film I saw of him in high school leads me to believe he'd at least be good for kick-off return duty, or an ocassional deep threat the opposing side must plan for just because he is faster than the average fast guy.

Bias is a hard thing to get a handle on. Cornelsen more or less admitted that they held a bias toward and started Jackson over No.5 last year because he took care of the ball and had a better grasp of the offense, not necessarily because they thought he could/would make more plays. That's what they wanted in running their offense and that's what we got until Jackson went down. (Kind of wonder if Vick would have played for them if he fumbled every 10th time he touched the ball.) The strike-out king who hits more home runs is not their style.

I am interested to see Beck play, but if he doesn't it will not be a surprise. But these coaches need to get some playmakers on the field whoever they are and in spite of a few warts.
