Cuse/VT Game
I didn't get to see the first half, but it sounds like VT played from behind all game. It's tough fighting back from a six goal deficit, so hats off to the team for their effort until the end.
Again, not having seen the first half I don't know if VT had this same issue during that time, but in the second half VT seemed to turn the ball over way too many times. And not because Cuse forced turnovers, but more so just slopping passing and catching by VT.
The team seems to continue having mental lapses during games also. One play in particular, VT had just pulled within 3 goals in the middle of the second half, had momentum on their side, VT wins the draw with the players momentum taking her towards the VT goalie, and then the VT player proceeds to turn the ball over by making a blind turnaround pass to the middle of the field that the Cuse knocked down and recovered. I think the better pass would have been to the VT goalie who was wide open to swing the field. It's just little things like this that are frustrating to see and while it may seem minor at the time can have a big impact on the game.
And I don't know why the VT players insist on running into doubles and trying to force their way through. They were lucky not to have several charging calls go against them.
Again, the team deserves credit for not giving up and fighting until the end. But they need to stop putting themselves in these holes. And eliminating the mental errors.
