SOme of the feelings are built up because it has been an annual thing with Williams since he came here. Every year there was the threat (not just speculation) of him leaving. Then there is the seemingly sanctimonious aspect and the overly explanatory aspect of his interviews that try to show feelings and such, but then comes the calculating aspect of contract negotiations. I don't have a negative reaction. Just saying that this is not as simple as saying this is like any other job move. He has been on the move since he stepped on campus.
