Heck I even remember seeing Kenny Brooks play for JMU in person and had the opportunity to meet him at least 1 time when he was a student. I would be bummed if things didn't work out for him at VT.

At the same time, I have this little voice in my head (not sure if it is Will or Chris) that keeps reminding me where VT ranks in terms of revenue. This year VT could end up replacing its men's basketball coach. In the next 2 years VT could be replacing other head coaches (i.e. football, men's soccer, etc). If VT is having to replace multiple head coaches in a short time period, then Babcock may have to pick his poison on how much he wants to invest in the next head coach for the various sports. Does Babcock invest more money in women's basketball to get a Pat Summit type head coach at the expense of having less money available for a new head coach in another sport? Or does Babcock use that "extra" money on a new football head coach (example purposes only) and keep Brooks because he has a winning record and has VT going to a postseason tournament every year.
