Quick Radford Preview

The #24/#19 Hokies (27-4) take on the Radford Highlanders (12-18) Wednesday night at Tech Softball Park, a rematch of a game exactly one month ago in Radford.

That game was a 10-0 Hokie run-rule win and featured two Home runs by Caitlyn Nolan (along with a double) and a solo shot by Kelsey Bennett. In the circle, the Hokies used a committee approach to limit Radford to 3 hits – Rochard pitched 3 innings, while Carrie Eberle and Keara Napoli each pitched one inning.

It’s probably realistic to expect somewhat of an encore, although the Highlanders come to Blacksburg on a bit of a roll, winning 4 of their last 5, including a 6-4 over the Virginia Cavaliers Tuesday night in Radford.

Of course, the Hokies are Exhibit A of “being on a roll,” having won 10 in a row and outscoring their opponents 89-18 during that span.

First pitch is 6:00pm

Let's Go Hokies!
