Good article on large state U's expanding in metro areas

Interesting, given that VT and UVA are expanding their presence in NoVa.

Athletics are a major source of entertainment for power conference U's. We already see more neutral site games in large metro areas. Alumni grow more businesses in large metro areas, especially if they need venture capital.
Many on this board like to laugh at expansions based on metro areas, but over the next 20 years, these moves will make more and more sense.
