True, but the kids have to show patents how to use computer and smartphones


in some cases:-)

Fortunately we raised both boys to be self sufficient. They will ask for advice on major decisions or a thing or two where we have expertise. But they show us ways to do things better too. There can be a good balance between helping and needing help.

The key is to teach them to stand on their own, and let them know that the world teaches lessons they need to be prepared for.
