Did you write on the sign that you’d pay a 3% commission to buyer’s agent?

You could’ve even offered 2% since everything is negotiable in real estate including commissions. Agents shouldn’t have black balled you that way if they knew about your listing. Agents are used to the seller paying the fee as buyers are usually cash strapped but you can’t expect an agent to work for free. I’ve always thought most of the complaining about agent’s commissions would dissipate if people knew how hard they had to work to make a buck. Sure there are some nice commissions once in awhile that seem like they make easy money but that has to get counter-balanced against all of time they spend learning the market and wasting their time on clients or deals that don’t happen & we all know how dealing with the public can be stressful at times.
I’d be surprised if this lawsuit is successful & I doubt customers will be better off if it did prevail.
