Well, week 2 of the ACC games is now in the books, and look who is tied for 1st place – none other than the ladies from Blacksburg, who swept a solid NC State team in Raleigh this weekend. Tied with the Hokies at 5-1 is the UNC Tar Heels, with UVA a game behind at 4-2 after dropping 2 out of 3 at Georgia Tech this week.

The big showdown in Tallahassee between the preseason 1-2 picks went to Florida State, 2 games to 1, including an 11-1 run-rule spanking of Notre Dame. NC State travels to FSU this week, so it will be interesting to see how that series plays out.

Other series of note is Georgia Tech at UNC and Louisville traveling to Notre Dame. After 3 mid-week non-conference contests, the Hokies will hope to continue their hot start by visiting Pittsburgh (1-5, 4-21).
