Germans had a lot of their own subs in theater didn’t they? My grandfather

was in the British Merchant Marine and was sunk 3!times by German U-Boats. I know one was of the coast of Africa, and then the ship that picked him up was also sunk. 😱

btw - I pretty much have the same job as my grandfather - I move a large vessel around the world (log books show him Singapore, China, Hong Kong, etc in 1910s and 20s), with other people’s shirt in it, going to many of the same places. I just get there faster, sleep in a nicer bed when I get there, and drink better beer in nicer bars and pubs. 😎👍🏻
