Whenever I have opined about this in the past I said Buzz would stay through the end of Ahmed Hill's eligibility and after that all bets were off. Its definitely not the end of the world if he leaves, or more importantly, the end of VT basketball if he leaves. Actually the timing is pretty good IMO since we were going to be in a rebuild mode next year anyway. What comforts me is that we are no longer a program that's considered to be a dumpster fire - Buzz proved we can win in the ACC - and most important, we are no longer a program that looks for the cheapest coaching hires, which created the dumpster fire in the first place. So if Buzz leaves I think Whit will be right on top of it with a great new hire, and if he decides to stay, fine, terrific. We are moving in the right direction either way.
