chances. Seems like we could get a nibble somewhere, but it feels like a curse. It will never happen in basketball or football in my lifetime. Maybe we get a shot in men’s or women’s soccer someday since that sport trends in strange ways. I think Tech’s administration could care less about sports. I think they want big research funding and collaboration with other businesses and universities. Sports are an afterthought here. So why do we even try? It’s because it generates just enough revenue to make the administration happy. And we do well enough to make moderate noise to be the fans excited enough to buy more tickets. So let’s put it this way, I’m not holding my breath for Tech to win a Natty in any sport. But if they do, color me surprised.
