They have the built-in NATIONAL recruiting pipelines. I would say that the main advantages that a VIllanova, Texas A&M, Marquette, etc. offer is being in the heart of a major urban center with top talent. It took some time for the Big East to fade, and I think the main beneficiaries will continue to be the Big Ten and the ACC. There'll be more opportnities to make the NCAA tournament from those two conferences and make a run for the Sweet Sixteen and the Final Four as a competitive basketball program.
