try not to let it blind you to the possibility that there may have been prudent reason to make this call. Dr. Sands was not involved in the incident nor is he culpable for what transpired. He does, however, bear the weight as a leader to make difficult determinations. After all, it’s about our beloved University as an entire institution. And the integrity of it from both a cultural and perception standpoint is paramount to our continued upward trajectory in academics and athletics. And as an aside, I believe Chris Clarke to be a good individual who, like us all, makes mistakes. He’s earning a valuable degree and will go on to do good things - on and off a basketball court.
