I would think someone could brag about both by saying something like,

"The SEC is the best football conference in all of college football and it generates the most money in all of DI."

My point is that 1 doesn't necessarily have to exclude the other. If the ACC generated the most money among the P5s, then I would think ACC fans would brag about the conference being the best in both men's basketball and generating the most money for its members. Some may even include soccer and lacrosse in their brag.
