if they get the information they are going to report it. but i can hate A&M for this. someone over there has a big mouth and because of it, we are talking about whether or not we will get to keep Buzz next season when we should be giddy for the start of the post-season of what could be the best season in VT basketball history. It arguably is right now and even if we only match our previous high NCAA win total of 1 - it will most definitely be.

It has become a trend in recent coaching turnover, especially in college football, where XYZ school lets slip that their top target is "insert coach here" and the school ends up looking foolish when they settle on option 4 or 5. I hope that happens to A&M. I know it's an hour from home for Buzz, but the football school is about to cut lose a coach that has been to the sweet 16 in 2 out of the past 4 seasons and the way they are going about the transition is already seedy and uncouth. Contrast that style to Whit and I would have a pretty lengthy "cons" column in considering this option.

I know we all bemoan SEC money in this process - but Kennedy makes considerably less than Buzz this year so our only competition is proximity to home and possible some other things in the back of Buzz's head. Won't be money, conference affiliation, athletic department/director, fan appreciation for the program, etc... All those things are in VT's favor.
