Eastern Sequoia NP trip report.............................................


Stayed south of Lone Pine in a great cabin with awesome views. Lone Pine is a very interesting town. In the middle of a wide valley with huge mountain ranges to the east and west.

We started off just like Western Sequoia. Lots of snow, low clouds so the peaks were not visible, and all of the roads leading towards the park were seasonally closed. I wanted to enter Kings Canyon since it was completely closed in the west, but most of the hikes were over 20 miles total with snow shoes, not able at this point, 20 years ago, yes.

So, first day hiked in Alabama Hills rec area. And also around the cabin. Awesome start to this tour:
