Western Sequoia was a disappointment.......................................

We stayed in Three Rivers, CA. No cell service for 3 days. 1st day the park was only open for 6 miles, so very limited hiking. The second day, the park opened up to 17 miles. Awesome snow shoe hiking but the clouds came in and visibility was near zero above 8000’. Tried the hike to Moro Rock. Really cool with the snow and Sequoia trees. Cutting new trail after 18” of snow and the fact of limited visibility, shortened our hike, but it was so worth it.

Day three, still cloudy, head back towards Eastern side of Sequoia.

Will have to return again to hit the trails that we missed.
