I do think eventually the top programs will break away and form their own


league. I am not sure if it will be sports specific or across the board. I could see it go either away. I disagree that this new league will allow any "dead weight" (aka Rutgers) to join the party. The league will want teams that are either at the top of their game or have a huge fan base. Rutgers is neither of those things. If this new league does form and ends up becoming the minor league for the NFL, then I would be perfectly fine if VT doesn't receive an invitation or decides to not to participate in the league.
