#1 and previously unbeaten Florida State headed west this week for a weekend showdown with #12 Arizona with some speculation about the Noles going undefeated all season (should they beat the Wildcats). After all, they were the defending National Champs, were 22-0, and leading the nation in both batting average and runs scored (outscoring opponents 182 - 38).

They also scheduled two "while we're here games" with Grand Canyon University, a private Christian University located in Phoenix. Well, confirming the old "On Any Given Day" adage, the Antelopes shocked FSU 5-3 yesterday.

FSU still may be the best team in the country, but it's always good to see the "little guy" get one, now and then. Cue UMBC.
