You didn't say anything about expansion though

You said "In 25 or 50 years Lane would need to be replaced anyways" and I interpreted that to mean build a brand new stadium.

For the record, I believe majority of those 50-100 stadiums have gone through some sort of expansion or renovation. However, I don't consider expansion to be the same as replacement. Even though renovation and replacement mean the same thing, I don't always consider them to be the same unless the school decides to completely renovate the entire stadium. If the school decides to renovate only parts of the stadium, then I don't consider that to be the same as building a brand new stadium.

WRT expansion of Lane, I have said from the beginning there is no viable option to expand Lane given the prior expansions were done as piecemeal and probably with no consideration for any potential future expansion. Hence why I said Colorado State did a better job. When Colorado State originally built the stadium or started to expand it, someone had the vision that there may be future expansions down the road. So any construction/planning done today made sure things would be easier when making future decisions. An example of this is making sure the entire lower section is at the same angle so it is easier to add an upper deck or connect 2 independent structures now and they both have the same design instead of building 3 independent structures with all 3 having different designs.
