Depends on when Swofford retires


I get the feeling that Swofford will probably announce his retirement in Summer 2020 with an effective date of summer 2021. That will be after the first year of the ACC Network, and he can take a victory lap in the 20-21 academic year.

If that is the case, and the ACC Presidents decide to go the current AD route, the top 3 candidates IMO are Whit, Corrigan, and Carla Williams. If he retires after 2021, you could add Martin Jarmond of BC to the list. The first 3 are in their late 40's to 50 which would give them about 20 years on the job when they reach the age Swofford is now. Jarmond to me is intriguing. 38 years old and if named Commissioner, could be in the position for 30 years if the Presidents decide to move in that direction.
