He was named HC well before the end of the season


3 recruiting classes. Beamer's recruits knew Beamer wouldn't be the HC and Fu followed up with his own recruiting. Keep in mind that Fu's best year so far was with Beamer's recruits and his wins have gone down each year since, until now when he has a losing season with his own recruits. It's not rocket science - it is reality.
