we just started Year 2 under Szefc. He's had to overhaul the roster, basically twice, to continue to plug holes and attempt to get not only ACC caliber, but frankly adequate D1 talent out on the field.

Given the start, especially the pitching, I'm cautiously optimistic as we head into conference play in the coming weeks. Now that may only mean a sixth place finish in the Coastal, but it seems we have more pieces to work with this year.

I hope we keep Carpenter another year and Coach keeps building the foundation via High School recruiting. Could be fun in a couple years to start nipping at the blue bloods again.

Would love to start owning the non-con foes in the state as well, although baseball is a different animal and mid-week games get squirly sometimes as they can turn into "staff days" for guys that don't typically get weekend innings.
