UConn made its bed in the early 90s with the decisions they made


and now they are laying in it. For some of the decisions, UConn may have been forced to decide a certain way or it didn't really have a choice given the circumstances at the time. Even if UConn had decided to take the huge risk, it may not have worked out for them or UConn could still find itself in the same boat as Temple.

Given that "big time college football" takes a backseat to the NFL, I do think there is a possibility that BC, Syracuse, and/or Pitt could decide it no longer wants to sponsor "big time college football" due to financial reasons.
