At least in your head it is I guess. I don't buy illegal services. Human trafficking for sex is a real problem. A lot of the illegal sex trade jobs are filled with these people. It's in the news almost every day even before this week. If you receive services from someone who has been trafficked then you are raping them. If you turn a blind eye to this then you are a horrible person. There is no grey area here.

And I don't hire people to work on my house unless they work for a bigger business (who is required to collect an I-9 form) or if an individual they show me their I-9 documents/green card. If I eat at a restaurant I expect that the owners/management of the restaurant abides by the law and completes the I-9. Now as far as the massage parlors in question, they are already providing an illegal service, so why would I expect that they are following the rest of the laws of the US? I wouldn't. That's the difference. Illegal service or Legal Service. It's really not that hard of a concept to get.
