Clemson didn't really drop sports, though.


In 2011, they dropped men's and women's swimming, and men's diving, because they (at the time) didn't want to drop $15 million into an aquatic center. But in 2013 they added women's golf, and in 2017 they added softball and finally dropped women's diving.

So that's a drop of two sports, men and women, and an add of two sports, both women's.

There's a net reduction of scholarships, I think, and they're certainly more Title IX compliant now.
