Here's the "official" rules:

Points will be awarded to the regular season winner in the following:
Football – 1 point
Baseball – 1 point to series winner (.5 to each for a split)
Softball - 1 point to series winner (.5 to each for a split)
Men’s Basketball - .5 pt for each regular season win
Women’s Basketball - .5 pt for each regular season win
Men’s Soccer – 1 point (.5 to each for a tie)
Women’s Soccer – 1 point (.5 to each for a tie)
Women’s Volleyball - .5 point for each regular season win
Women’s Lacrosse – 1 point
Men’s Tennis – 1 point
Women’s Tennis – 1 point
Wrestling – 1 point

Points will be awarded to the team that finishes the highest at the ACC Championship in the following:
Men’s Swimming & Diving – 1 point
Women’s Swimming & Diving – 1 point
Men’s Golf – 1 point
Women’s Golf – 1 point
Men’s Cross Country – 1 point
Women’s Cross Country – 1 point
Men’s Indoor Track & Field – 1 point
Women’s Indoor Track & Field – 1 point
Men’s Outdoor Track & Field – 1 point
Women’s Outdoor Track & Field – 1 point
