...on his side. They have a job to do and they’re suppose to do it objectively and fairly. If a coach decides to grant less media access because he thinks that’s best for the program, that shouldn’t have a deleterious effect on the program. If it does, it would only be the case to the extent that frustrating the media causes negative outcomes for the program — which it shouldn’t if media folks are functioning as professionals, right?
