If the "closer" conference is either the Big Ten - West Division


or SEC - West Division, then is OU in a better position (from a competition standpoint) than the Pac-16 - East Division? I guess I am thinking that OU may find itself finishing 2nd-4th in the SEC - West Division and maybe 1st-3rd in the Big Ten - West Division vs. potentially finishing 1st-2nd in the Pac-16 - East Division. At least I don't think the 2 AZ schools, UT, and CO will put up a serious challenge to OU's dominance. So Texas, if it decided to join the Pac-16, may be the only school that poses any real threat to OU's dominance.

Don't get me wrong, I understand the argument for being in a "closer" conference and I don't disagree with it. I'm just wondering if it would be the "best" move for OU (assuming the Big XII collapses).
