28-84, Gunny Hawks Don't remember my recruiter's name.

My mom asked Hawks were he was from at the social the night before graduation, and I was shocked when he said Galax, VA. He never singled me out, but I did my best to kept my head down and mouth shut...lol

One of my roommates was a surfer dude from Coronado, and he spent half of his time doing pushups. (Dave's dad was an airline pilot who flew F8s in the Navy. Dave grew up flying his dad's simulators, so he did extremely well in flight school.)

Another guy had a girlfriend who kept sending him these really crazy letters with pictures of her face glued to Playboy pictures. Since we had to open all of our mail in front of the class, PJ did a lot of pushups too...lol

Yeah, a lot of memories from that experience.
