A co-worker's hubby was at Randolph School yesterday (false alarm)
Active shooter reported.
The school didn't follow their protocol and alert all through intercom.
He was sheltered in closet with 3 second-third graders. (Note all are mentally challenged). Only after SWAT tells him to do so.
They then say "step away from the door as they start to enter as clearing the building. He says "It's a closet!, we can't move!" (Imagine three mentally challenged kids who can't move or speak for 2.5 hours)
Kids. most of whom have seen plenty of bad things aren't too frightened when the leave the building, until they see a stretcher with a blanket covering something. They all think it's a victim and freak, only to find out it's equipment being covered from the rain.
Sounded like they all may learn from this false alarm.
