Actually I think he's getting lazy in his coaching career.
The Dook brand sells extremely well to recruits, so he doesn't need to do as much coaching as if he was bringing in 2-star talent. (I put Roy in the same category.) This usually works well, but the down side is when you lose your "star" early in the game and the rest of the team doesn't know how to react. RatFace puts more effort into working the refs than he does actually coaching his players.
I would say Buzz and Tony do 10X the coaching that Roy and RatFace do now.
