That's not how I understood it


said he got untaxed income for car allowance and then deducted car expenses, but this is actually more my point - deciding on what is deductible, what is taxed, untaxed, etc. can often be interpreted many ways. I'd bet that neither one of us got what he was describing exactly right. Make it easier, less types of deductions, higher standard deduction and lower rates.
