Its that you have to go into each season with:

3 PG
3 guys who can defend the 5 spot
A rotation of 9 guys
4 players who are versatile enough to plug any of the 9 holes should someone get hurt or become ineligible

Every single season I coached we had 1 of the following:

1 season-ending injury
1+ suspension/dismissal
1 academic suspension/dismissal

There is zero excuse for not having a full roster to plug these holes. He isnt new to coaching.
