And you don't need to fill the cup to the top. You shouldn't fill it higher than a half inch from the top (of the cup). Once the iron is hot, pour the batter from the cup into the top of the iron. It will look like you significantly under-filled the iron, but the batter will expand to the top. Recommend not adding more batter to fill it up. I did that on the first one by mistake...lol
You also don't have to worry about setting a stop watch to tell you when to remove it. The iron will beep and the green light will come on when it's done.
Cleanup is a breeze because this waffle iron doesn't leak around the edges, unlike my old "conventional" waffle iron. I used to put paper towels under my old waffle iron to catch the run off. This one doesn't need it.
