Are you talking about immediately after you arrived home, or months...

...or years down the road?

I've only owned three new vehicles, and they've all been pickups. The only one I regretted buying was the Dodge pickup. It was a rolling piece of crap, which started falling apart the day I drove it off the dealer's lot.

The other two were Toyotas, and I've been thrilled with both. I've felt I got more than my money's worth with both of them. It just proves you get what you pay for. Although Tacomas are a little pricey, they're worth it! Excellent value!

The first was a 94 Truck (last year before they changed to Tacoma), and it drove like it did the day I left the dealer's lot (where I paid $300 over invoice) when it was killed by a semi driver running a red light. It still had the original freon in the AC system, 14 years later. Same clutch, engine & transmission seals, etc. I did have to replace the shocks and the transmission mount during my ownership.

I went straight back to a local Toyota dealer and bought a Tacoma to replace it, and that was 11 years ago. I offered the dealer what I considered a fair offer, and he said if I brought cash (i.e. a bank draft) by the end of the week, He would take another $1,500 off my offer...lol I had the first mechanical failure of my current truck a couple years ago...a brake light bulb burned out.

I considered both new Toyota trucks fantastic investments! I'm also extremely reluctant to purchase a Chrysler. Maybe one day I'll buy an older Wrangler and build it for solid trail use?
