While he has dealt with his achilles issue his whole life, it doesnt allow him to gain balance when shooting left shoulder hooks. You just cant generate any kind of stability while standing on your toes making a turn.
Lots of teams just play KBJ one on one in the post now, but an uptick in opportunities for KBJ will bring double-teams and, in turn, more shots for Bede and Hill. At least with NAW the focal point, the ball can still be moved to either side of the floor and into KBJ if need be.
You also have the added benefit of not needing to structure a new offensive philosophy in February, one that would be scrapped in March if J-Rob is healthy. Which would mean a wasted month of team development. If anything, this allows VT to have another option available if/when J-Rob returns should he get into foul trouble or need a breather.
