You are only viewing the benefits of adding to a roster to fill holes. Like VT signing Hoffman to potentially start at center. Thats great. But uhhh what about the creating holes aspect? Is that a win for Coastal Carolina? How are they benefiting? How about someone like Trevon Hill being a bad egg with no repercussions whatsoever. Get yourself booted off a team for awful conduct...and then just go somewhere else immediately. Hell rub some salt in it by going to a conference rival.
What we have here is a slippery slope of big timing and players having too much leverage. So how will you feel if we have an awesome promising QB who always wished Bama would have recruited him and then after his superb freshman year at VT, ol Nick Saban reaches out cause he likes what he sees. Our QB of the future packs his bags that day and says bye bye VT. Is that going to be good for VT? Is that in the spirit of your post? Is that good for college football?
