Even Taylor Emery admits that they lose focus during parts of every game and says they repeat the same line during every post game interview. Dara Mabrey says a lot of their problems are mental (that too is repeated after almost every loss).

Louisville coach Jeff Walz thinks Tech is a very good team and could easily be 7-3 instead of 2-8 if they could change just 10 minutes of their 10 ACC games. As for Walz, he's a good coach and a high level recruiter. He recruits so many blue chippers that he expects 3-4 of his players to transfer in 1-2 years and it doesn't even bother him because his remaining talent is so good. Meanwhile Tech basketball (men's and women's) struggles to keep 8-9 healthy players on the team during a season.
