Too early Cornell vs VT prediction
This is going to be a VERY close dual and will come down to bonus points. Unfortunately I am thinking a close loss 17-18. IMO Myers, Blees, and Sleigh will decide this dual and have real opportunity here to notch decent victories. Prata and Moore have tall orders and this really is a learning match and litmus test to see where they are. If somehow we reverse last week the match could be lopsided with Cornell only winning 2 or 3 matches by decision and losing 23-9 or 26-6, but after UNC I don't see that happening. Conversely, I can't see VT team points going below 14.
My prediction:
Arujau TF Prata (0-5) [Prata has a chance here to show his improvement if he keeps it to a DEC]
Tucker Dec Myers (0-8) [This is a toss-up match. Can Myers recover from last week?]
Diak MD Moore (0-12) [Diak will take advantage of Moore's unconventional neutral stance. Diak will avoid tie-up and catch Moore's leading leg often.]
Furnas Dec Blees (0-15) [Blees will lose another close one by a point. Blees needs to win these down the stretch]
BC MD Santoro (4-15) [BC will recover and have a string 3rd period to get the MD]
Lewis MD Berreyesa (8-15) [Another routine outing for Mekhi]
McF Dec Womack (11-15) [McF will win by 2-3 pts when it seems like he have by more]
ZZ Dec Dean (14-15) [Comfortable margin...nothing to see here]
Honis Dec Sleigh (14-18) [Sleigh underwhelms again and loses by a point]
Miller Dec Sweany (17-18) [Routine HWT close match]
