I am not 100% positive(inside on individual qualifying for NCAAs)

But I think the ACC is required to wrestle the 5 in conference match ups and that is it. I do not think there is a minimum out of conference requirement but I could be wrong. So a team could opt to only wrestle 5 duals and be done with it. But if you have a program and a wrestler has only 5 matches they will not garner a bid to the NCAA and will not get ranked. NOTE: A wrestler DOES have to have a minimum number of matches to qualify for the NCAA trny and that is a BIG deal. So if a team only schedules 5 duals they need to find matches some other way e.g., trnys or sit home for the NCAAs. A program will not last long if that is the case. I suppose a wrestler could wrestle 5 matches then win their conference tourney and get the auto-bid, but if they wrestle only 5 times they are probably not going to be very good and won't likely win their conference trny.
