Backer was a real position of need for VT, he is likely choosing to go to a much worse football program with more competition on the depth chart than VT. UNC hired some A+ recruiters, hopefully head to head losses like this will force the guys in Blacksburg to reasses our recruiting salesmanship relative to Maryland and unc. They have much worse products, but they both hired better sales staffs.
