Right this second? Of course not. After the season? Who knows. I'm not sure I saw anyone out there in this past offseason who we could reasonably land who is CLEARLY better than Fuente.

At the time we hired our basketball coach, a necessity and an opportunity for a once-in-a-lifetime level coach for us happened to coincide (let's be real, JJ was never a viable long term option... but I don't think Whit would have made a move if he wasn't at least fairly confident in his ability to land Buzz and we would have stuck with JJ for another year or two until we did see a clear winner available for us).

Right now, with the buyout Fuente has, we better be damn sure we're making a clear upgrade if we wish to make a move. In a couple years, we'll not only have far more information about how good Fuente really is, but we'll also have a heavily reduced buyout. Short of a Buzz Williams level opportunity and additional information to show that Fuente might not be the guy, Fuente is our man for at least the next two years and probably the next three really.
