What you leave out or ignore is that they were free to do what was best for THEIR SCHOOL but, they do not get a free pass for HOW THEY DID IT and not communicating properly and following contractual protocols. They also do not get a free pass for arrogantly trying to double down in subsequent negotiations and hiding behind what everybody recognizes as excuses manufactured after the fact to cover their rear end. It would be interesting to see what would come out if it ever went to court but, I doubt it ever gets that far for a variety of reasons.
